Spottedroo is the website of Kathy Nagel. She learned to draw from her mom, in high school, and in Italy, and has continued to study printmaking and painting at various places around San Francisco, Boston, and Vermont. She and her husband moved to Cambridge, MA in January of 2008.

When she is not drawing, Kathy can be found in Rachel Wilson's lab at Harvard Medical School, studying how flies smell. So far, her research suggests that the answer is "kind of fruity." Previously, she studied how birds hear with Allison Doupe.
