Oddly enough (and maybe I shouldn't tell you this) every one I know who had kids this year...were LATE! Hum, wonder what the statistics on this are...

Well, at least you are keeping busy. The bouquet made me think of my grandmother. Glaieuls (gladiola?) are her favorite flowers.

If it's any consolation, I'm in this training program and I'm too exhausted at the end of the day to do any sewing. So we can virtually procrastinate together...for different reasons, of course!

This is too cute for words! I love it. And this would appeal to my mother, she's always betting on the odds. No, really, my mother likes to gamble on the oddest things. (loose change, don't worry)

I do a lot of the same when I'm procrastinating so don't feel too bad.

Love your colors and now I have to look up all the patterns you listed because I can't recall the wrap blouse.

Oh, and I DO recognize the gored dress because...it's the one I was wearing during the earthquake. Unforgettable, in every way! (uh, disaster humor is an acquired taste)

I think that the empire style dresses or dress that you designed will turn out really nice once your done with it. Based on the unfinished products, it's going really well. I really do hope that this work of yours will be a beautiful one!

The concept drawing does look amazing and you've already solved a number of issues of construction. A credit card back up takes away the stress - you may or may not have time to do much once baby is born. Burda generally breaks their stretch patterns into stretch woven "fabrics with elastane" or two way stretch "jersey" - they never specify the degree of stretch required - ocassionally they say, "two way stretch only". I haven't got that issue yet (we have a 2 month shipping delay on Burda) but it sounds like your choices will work fine. Fingers crossed for happy deliveries ahead - of dress and baby!

I'm crossing my fingers that you get this finished before you're too uncomfortable. That is, assuming you do get too uncomfortable, of course. It looks great, can't wait to see it finished!
